10km is my favourite distance. As an amateur, I have to limit distances of my routes (in order to have enough time for family and work!), so this distance is perfect to set objectives and train hard. I have only done one race so far and I managed to finish 10km in 44:55.
Unfortunatly, I had to stop training for a while. Sometimes life gives you too much pressure and you have also to plan how to stop – and how to run again!
Well: the break ended about 2 weeks ago. And what is the best way to start again? To set a goal, off course. So, I will challenge myself in my favourite distance. And I will try to do something “impossible” (for my fitness condition, my age and my “late engagement”) – run 10km keeping a 4min/km pace!
This is the event I’m considering to join: https://www.istrski-maraton.si/en/
I’ve just created my training plan. First workout tomorrow – and easy 5,5km workout.
